My new blog!! well it's not 'totally' new, this was an edited blog, from my previous blog <@ dA K in m3? @> i wanted to start something new, have been hibernating for too long.. had a lot of fun imagining what i would share here.. But they are all imaginations, not realized yet. Haha.. Let's hope i achieve what is planned..
Now, what is it that was/is planned..?
- This would be my travel and ramble blog (mostly would be related to kpop =P)!Erm....... no, I don't travel all the time; only once per year, maybe twice sometimes - overseas I mean.. Also sometimes within Malaysia.
- will retain my previous posts about kpop (from my blog "da K in me?"), I'm too lazy to monitor both, and others as well.. kyaah.. laziness....
- It will all be from my inner brain! I'll try not to make it too boring, even though it's meant to be a channel, to channel my craziness and inner self, i do hope that my personal experience and thoughts can be shared with others, spreading happy virus as well..

Just.. wanted to add in something which would represent me.. and i love caps; my first cap was green, and woosh, here comes @girlwithagreencap..
personally, the greencap reminds me to stay true to my old self (who had soooo much fun being who she was).. side story: i actually created a totally new blog called "girlwithagreenbag" - to blog on traveling, which right now, as i'm typing, is still existing, which i will delete off after i publish this post, which by then will vanish forever.. muahaha.. sorry, got carried away.. why green again? just.. my bag for traveling is green, so..

With this, we come to the end of this post (also because I'm too lazy to continue). (=.=) I'm visiting Korea soon!!!!!!! Lots of research and effort done for this trip.. it will be a dream come true for me, after all these years of following Kpop, Kvariety and Kculture. Kinda scared and excited, hopefully everything goes well..

sure the storyline is a bit of a cliché, as stated in the summary, Romeo and Juliet story; but it's still nice to watch stars from East and West interacting; and most importantly, the dancing is awesome!!! i mean it, AWESOME!!
i'm no dancing expert to say anything about the choreography and techniques, but as an audience, 'Dumbfounded'.. haha..
still in the realm of the movie after a few days, that's when i tried to look up videos regarding this movie; and i came up to this.. ^.^
i hope this movie really make it big in the West, BoA needs more recognition.. and as for Derek, he gained another fan!

What i'm sick of is the neverending meaningless fan war.. while the idols are all friends, it just shows irony..

i'm reviewing the new album from the Wonder Girls, "WONDER WORLD"..
you'll ask who am i to do a review; i'll say it's ma blog and i'll post whatever i want.. =P

Honestly i like this song more than Be My Baby, it has more 'power'.. This club song will make you feel like dancing..
YeEun aka Yenny wrote this song, inspired while they were partying in the States.. Fun huh?! ^^
Everyone fits perfectly in each part..
2. Be My Baby
Their promo song.
Another hit and infectious song from them! i can't stop singing this song for the whole week, it got stuck in my head.. haha..
==> i just lurv the video, but don't you think it's a bit Beyonce-style in it?
just one complain though, the 'JYP-whispering' should stop.. 2PM, MissA and now Wonder Girls.. =.=
well, maybe it can be considered as a specialty of JYP's songs..
SoHee was given quite some parts in this song, my first thought before their live performances was: "She must have improved a lot in order for them to gave her the parts.." and she didn't disappoint me at all!

This would be my favourite song in this album.. Spreading girl power and positive thinking..
i don't know about you guys, but the melody and rhythm are just totally my type..
and Yubin sang in this song too!
4. Me, in
Super cool song.. i'm guessing some of you don't know that it's a cover.. ^^ (i'm one of them initially)

The first phrase is just super catchy, draws you into the song immediately..
i cannot confirm the facts but it is said that YeEun did the new arrangement and Yubin wrote the rap..
5. Sweet Dreams
Sweet Dreams is another retro style of theirs.. Classic..
again, Yubin wrote the rap lyrics..
but personally i'm not REALLY into this song, my problem.. ha..
6. Stop!
a bit of electric retro to me..
its lyric is fun.. haha.. asking the guy to not get to close and stop thinking about her..
perfect for girls to reject guys.. ^^
7. Dear. Boy
slow pop with the girls soothing falsettos..
the lyrics seems like a diary entry, asking the boy whether he still loves her or not..
i like the rhythm and head-bobbing-beat..
8. 두고두고
the ballad duet of YeEun and SunYe..
just gotta say, ohmigosh...
both of them sang beautifully in the R&B ballad.. totally in love with this song..
even JYP himself praised them in his me2day.. talk about having a nice boss huh.. ^^

this feels like a runway or club music.. it has some swag.. haha..
as always, i'm super excited when i hear rappers sing.. Sohee did great too..

one of my favourite songs again!!
i love Hyerim's rap, kind of mixing sweetness and fierceness, well sweetness the most.. haha..
as she's the newest member after Sunmi left the group to pursue her studies, there were quite some criticism goin on, saying she's not fit to be a wondergirl and all that.. but come on, everyone needs to move on!
so here she is, rapping about her awesomeness..
==> but one thing to point out, the sudden slow down of the song to fit in the song-singing is a bit weird, to me.. and i don't know whether it's just me or..., but i feel like the beat was a lil off when the song started to slow down.. hmm..
anyhow, nice..
11. Be My Baby (Ra.D Mix)
known Ra.D through We Got Married, where Nickhun sang his song, I'm In Love to Victoria..
and he's the one who composed 2PM's "I Can't"..
frankly, i have a thing for R&B and soul genres.. so, i'm totally loving this version.. <3
12. Nu Shoes
their only English track in this album.. n i 'like it like it'!!
i love how their pronunciation is almost perfect.. (not Konglish)
fun n upbeat rhythm with cute lyrics about the passion of girls towards shoes.. haha..
Overall Review: Phewww... at last i'm done.. it seems like a neverending post........ ha.. okie, here's some 'heart to heart' talk: i was never a big fan of Wonder Girls, i just knew there's them in the Kpop.. and also as i started venturing into Kpop late (~2 years ago), i didn't know much about their history and previous activities.. (talk about WonderBang, anyone? ^^) after this album as introduction, imma say i'm a Wonderful (name of the fanclub for Wonder Girls, for those who don't know) now.. they now join my girls on my list..
done, and back to the album:
Wonder Girls surprised me with this album of theirs.. they clearly made used of their experiences in the states and brought their level of music to another peak..
they played with addictive beats and their usual retro genre to get your attention..
i'm also impressed with the harmonies and detailed touch up in their songs.. just looove Sun and Yenny's voice.. the others were superb too, so just pure superb.. haha..
i won't say that it's perfect so that'll leave some room for them to improve.. ^^
so that's a wrap!
i did reviewed this as honestly as i can, not to be biased as i'm a Wonderful now..

one thing though, i'm curious why the song composer and lyrics writer in Kpop are not really stated and appreciated.. maybe it is in Korean, just that i don't understand.. haha.. hmm.. just my thought..

as stated in my blog intro, i'm still new to Kpop, fairly new i would say; i've been 'monitoring' kpop sites for more than half a year up till now.
After School wasn't in my favourites list from the start so i wouldn't know all of their previous works.
since After School is having their comeback this week, i'll start off my first post with them..
here are their comeback performances in Music Bank last week..
their tap dances are just spectacular..!
i've catched glimpse of their previous performances which include drums; what more to say, hard work and talent..
previously i've only known UEE from You're Beautiful and We Got Married, now i'm starting to like Lizzy more since Running Man, she's totally cute!
well, the more the number of members in a group, the longer the time for the fans to get to know all of them; i can't say i'm a fan yet, but i'll surely anticipate more works from them..
as for the "After School vs SNSD?":
with the number of members in AF (they recently added another new member; 9 in total), out of sudden i'd remember SNSD.. just the way my brain works, don't blame me.. haha..
nah, seriously, these girls are coming out to
kill
conquer girl groups; either in numbers or performances, brace yourself for another wave of girl power!!
okie, great, now i'll need to buy myself insurance; just in case i'm murdered..
